H20-Bics
A combination of shallow and deep-water aerobics, providing good resistance for an overall body workout that is not strenuous on the muscles. Incorporates water weights, providing a great cardio workout for people at any fitness level. Targets sport specific exercises and isolation of muscles. All supplies provided. Included with any membership type.
H20-Bics is taught by Lindsey Krompak. Lindsey has taught water aerobics for the Jefferson Fitness Club since 2007 and is finishing her Master’s in Exercise Physiology at the University of Kentucky.
Waves for Wellness
This is a beginner level, shallow water workout. Participants will gain balance and core strength along with a progressive ease for performing everyday living activities. A great social experience. Included with any membership type.
Waves for Wellness is instructed by Martha Edwards. Matha Edwards has been teaching the Waves for Wellness class for over a decade and has built a strong and dedicated following which is always open and friendly.
Tri-Yoga
Tri- Yoga is a smooth flowing form of Yoga that builds strength, flexiblity, and peace of mind. Classes are 'multi-level', so that beginners as well as more advanced students can work at their own pace with increased challenges when they're ready. Tri-yoga is especially helpful for strengthening the spine, hips, wrists, and arms. Included with Gold membership.
Tri Yoga is instructed by Doraine Bailey, Certified Tri-Yoga Teacher. She has taught Tri-Yoga at the Jefferson Fitness Club since 1999. In addition, she has practiced yoga since her teen years and has been a Tri-Yoga teacher since 1990. Classes with Doraine are fun and relaxed and geared towards the students’ needs— “It’s never the same thing twice!”
Belly Dance/Bellyrobics
If you’ve never tried Belly Dance, now’s your chance! Great low impact exercise. Learn how tone your muscles, build core strength, improve your grace and balance, while gaining a better understanding of how your body moves. Belly dance is for all body types and ages. Those who want more of a workout can try ‘Bellyrobics’. Discounts available with membership.
